Google handwriting for iPad

Towards the end of last month Google released handwrite for mobile devices, a new service that allows mobile devices users to scrawl search terms over their screen instead of typing them.

My flatmate got an alert about it a couple of days ago, and showed it to me this afternoon. After minimal fiddling in Google.com settings it's on and works brilliantly, with an excellent level of letter recognition. It also lets you write over results if you are not happy with them, and once set up can be easily toggled on and off.

I'm just surprised that it wasn't promoted more. Search and there doesn't seem to be much discussion of Google handwrite, despite the fact it's a pretty cool feature.
